John Buckley is a photographer who divides his time between Washington, D.C. and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

His work has been featured in Landscape Photography magazine, chosen for publication in Focus on the Story’s 2018 book titled Chasing The Great American Eclipse, and displayed in group shows such as the Stop Motion exhibitions in D.C., and the Leica Store D.C.’s 2023 Mastery & Milestones exhibition. John Buckley’s photographs been chosen in numerous juried competitions, including three times as a winner in the annual Exposed D.C. show, and in the Photoworks 2022 exhibition, Official/Unofficial.

Buckley’s first photography book, Pictures of U: Six Months in an Historic D.C. Neighborhood, was published in 2022. He is also the author of three published novels, Family Politics, Statute of Limitations, and The Geography Lesson, and co-author of the best-selling business book, The Business of Happiness, by Ted Leonsis with John Buckley.
